INVESTMENT POSSIBILITIES IN SPECIFIC BRANCHES

Processing industry: Investments in the high-tech production have a high potential on account of the long and rich industrial tradition of the country in Czech Republic and they are promoted by aid programmes of the government, including the programme of the investments incentives. The support of investments in the high-tech production is one of the key operations of the agency CzechInvest.

Utility companies: The privatisation the gas, stream and water supply enterprise has not been concluded yet. With all inquiries about manufacturer and distributor in these branches you can turn directly to the ministry of industry and trade (www.mpo.cz).

Strategical services and technology centres: Customer service centres, Shared service centres, expert's solution centres, software development, research centres and developing centres, design centres and high tech-repair centres count to these branches. Czech Republic has sat down to the aim to take over a leading role in the area of the strategical services in the region, and it is one of the priorities of CzechInvest to enlist foreign direct investments in the area of the strategical services. The investment support was recently introduced for strategical services: The supporting programme for the support of technology centres and strategical services.

Financial services: The privatisation of the banks is almost concluded, but there are still some very favorable investment opportunities in this branch, because the inquiry for financial services grows constantly. Unfortunately, CzechInvest can play no active role with the support of investments in the financial sector. As with the acquisition of enterprise we suggest getting in contact to ourselves with a Czech adviser who can help you.

Tourism and other services: In these branches there are many favorable investment opportunities. CzechInvest cannot take part in these projects, unfortunately, actively. Should you have interest in this area, get in contact with a Czech adviser or the association for foreign investments.
